Is it ’ important to have top quality to grow on Twitch / Facebook / YouTube? Not exactly.
Let's explain: having decent audio / video quality is certainly important but not totally necessary. Consider that 60/70% of Twitch users use the platform from mobile devices and it is not the quality of your content that will make you grow but rather entertainment and your character.
That said, a good webcam is a fairly good and long term investment.
The top you can aspire to is definitely a professional “camera / video camera ” with the possibility of going out with “CLEAN HDMI ” (i.e. with a clean video output – without values, numbers etc ... ) connected to a CAM Link. Remember to set your webcam or camcorder in Full-HD 60FPS (if possible) and no higher resolutions (e.g. 4K) so as not to unnecessarily weigh down your OBS.
